Samaha designed the new 13,840 SF fire station to include 4 drive through bays, locker and sleeping facilities for 16 personnel, office space for volunteer personnel, an exercise room, and a large day room with a commercial-style kitchen. In addition, the layout provides an office area with a separate entrance for the public, allowing simultaneously public and private use.

 

The station is located at a new road intersection that was constructed concurrently with the building. Work included coordination of new traffic lights to allow fast access to 3 major roadways by entering the intersection diagonally. This station was equipped with state of the art electronics and wiring and accommodated an uninterrupted transition from their older facility.
