The Samaha team provided architectural and design services for the expansion and renovation of the existing Edsall Road Fire Station. The scope consisted of expanding the existing facility from approximately 8,300 SF to just over 14,000 SF on a 1.49 acre site. The existing station previously included two full-size apparatus bays and one partial bay, but one of the bays was lost in a fire in 2017. The new additions to the station include four full-size apparatus bays with support space and a training tower, as well as a new kitchen and exercise room. The residential and administration spaces have been renovated within the shell of the existing structure. Project phasing required construction of a temporary fire station and associated site work.
