Originally built in 1956 with scattered additions completed over the years, Walter Johnson High School had last been updated in 1975. Samaha Associates prepared a master plan calling for three phases of construction that would enable the school to remain occupied. Highlights include a 72,000 SF classroom addition, a new performing arts center, a stadium, a new entrance lobby, a media center, art and music suites, and a student union.
